Academic Program

Classes are small, so students get lots of individual attention.

Degrees are offered through 22 academic departments and nine interdisciplinary programs. We are committed to the value of the liberal arts because we believe that such a program prepares students to participate not only in careers, but also in civic and cultural life. At Ohio Wesleyan, we teach students to think critically, to use a variety of approaches and disciplines in solving problems, and to communicate effectively. These intellectual attributes and skills are critical for success as citizens in a world that changes in the blink of an eye.

Distinctive features of the academic program include the Arneson Institute for Practical Politics and Public Affairs; the Woltemade Center for Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship; the Sagan National Colloquium; a four-year Honors Program; and extensive opportunities for independent research, internships, and off-campus study in such programs as:
